WHO IS RSS?

We are the "Green Jackets" on Mt Ruapehu, New Zealand, and we have been involved in Alpine Ski Race Training since 1978.

The most important thing about us is that we are a non-profit, Snow Sports NZ affiliated club, run by parents, and past parents.  All involved in our club races are volunteers.

Our athletes range in ages from 7 - 19 years.

 

OUR FEES

We as a club are a non-profit organisation.  The fees we charge aim to cover costs and we aim not to make a profit and endeavour to keep all fees down to make our club as inclusive as possible. 

We charge $150 (plus a refundable deposit of $50) for the uniform hire for the year (see below) We also have an optional club hoodie and T shirt you may wish to purchase.

All our programmes include an offsnow programme for inclement weather.  We have a fully resourced gym at National Park, and the off snow programme includes other activites as decided by the coaches. 

As we are a non-profit organisation, unfortunately we cannot offe refunds for athlete injury or inclement weather.

OUR UNIFORM

We have always stood out as being the "Green Jackets" on Mt Ruapehu.  The uniform hire fee is for our quality waterproof Spyder Jacket, chosen specifically for the Ruapehu conditions. Black ski pants are recommended.  

 

SOUTH ISLAND

RSS Alpine SKi Race Team goes to the South Island to Mt Hutt to compete in the National Championships.  We travel as a club for the U14 and U16 age groups.  Athletes who wish to compete may be partially funded by the Whakapapa Ski Foundation
